Egypt’s trade exchange with African countries hits $8.6 bln in 2022

The trade exchange between Egypt and African countries exceeded $8.6 billion during 2022, Sherif El-Gabaly the Chairman of Board of the Egyptian Chamber of Chemical Industries (FEI), said on Monday.

El-Gabaly stated during Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023) taking place in Cairo, Egypt, that the value recorded a growth rate of 14.4 percent.

He also expected that the volume of exports will grow during this year by a rate ranging between 10-15 percent, following the state’s tendency to open new markets for the Egyptian products.
