Egypt’s trade deficit falls 25.2% in March – CAPMAS

Egypt’s trade deficit fell 25.2 percent year-on-year to $2.69 billion in March from $3.59 billion in the same month last year, the state-owned statistics agency CAPMAS reported on Sunday.

According to CAPMAS, the value of exports rose 43.5 percent to $3.41 billion during March, compared to $2.38 billion in March of the previous year.

The value of imports also grew 2.2 percent to $6.10 billion in March compared to $5.97 billion in previous year.
