Egypt’s trade balance deficit dropped 28.7 percent in September, recording $3.49 billion from $4.90 billion in the same month of 2018, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Sunday.
In its monthly bulletin on foreign trade data, CAPMAS said exports of some goods increased in September 2019, compared to the same month of 2018.
Exports of petroleum products rose by 5.2 percent, crude oil by 1.2 percent, garments by 11.7 percent and plastics by 7.6 percent .
As for imports, the bulletin showed a decline of 20.1 percent to hit $5.86 billion in September of 2019, compared to $7.33 billion in the same month of 2018.
