Egypt’s strategic sugar reserves sufficient for 7.8 months – minister

Egypt has strategic sugar reserves sufficient for local consumption needs for nearly 7.8 months, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhi announced in a statement on Tuesday.

Egypt’s strategic commodities reserves are well-stocked to meet domestic needs for several months, Moselhi added during the Food Africa 2023 and Pacprocess exhibitions running at the EIEC in Cairo from 12 to 14 December.

Food Africa 2023 features over 800 exhibitors from 32 countries. The event highlights Egypt and Africa’s commitment to economic and technological advancement, emphasising the significance of international trade and industry for the region.
