Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 0.89 percent lower to 11,041 points buoyed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) edged 1.36 percent higher to 2,069 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.60 percent to 13,196 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced 1.10 percent to 3,016 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 rose 0.49 percent up to 2,208 points.

Total market capitalisation has made gains worth 4.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($274.3 million) to close at 640.899 billion pounds on Tuesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 546.9 million securities executed 48,215 transactions.
