Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index gaining 0.48 percent higher to 10,680 points buoyed by local investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) also advanced 0.65 percent to 1,869 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went up 0.55 percent to 12,529 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 rose 0.57 percent to 2,732 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 0.48 percent to 1,989 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 1.6 billion Egyptian pounds ($101.9 million) to close at 611.212 billion pounds on Sunday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.637 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 228.59 million securities executed 28,252 transactions.
