Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index edging 0.69 percent higher to 10,629 points triggered by local investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) also added 0.39 percent to 1,857 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 0.53 percent to 12,460 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 went up 0.36 percent to 2,717 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 hiked 0.74 percent to 1,980 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($76.5 million) to close at 609.628 billion pounds on Thursday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Thursday, the trading value has approximately reached 3.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 272.1 million securities executed 34,876 transactions.
