Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index plummeting 0.6 percent to 11,366 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell 0.64 percent to 1,848 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped tumbled by 0.32 percent to 13,327 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 lost 0.60 percent to 2,763 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 dropped 0.68 percent higher to 2,044 points.

Total market capitalisation incurred losses worth around 3 billion Egyptian pounds ($189.2 million) at the end of Monday’s trade.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Monday, the trading value has neared 2.043 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost reached 518.4 million securities executed over 52,000 transactions.
