Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed mostly higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index gaining 0.16 percent to 10,987 points buoyed by local and Arab investors’ buyoff appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dipped 0.06 percent to 2,022 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose 0.42 percent to 12,757 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dropped 0.03 percent to 2,917 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 fell 0.39 percent to 2,061 points.

Total market capitalisation has gained 469 million Egyptian pounds ($29.7 million) to close at 618.288 billion pounds on Tuesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Tuesday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.1 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 423 million securities executed over 44,489 transactions.
