Sarwa Insurance, part of Egypt’s Sarwa Capital Holding, announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with Hannover Re to add COVID-19 medical cover extension to its travel insurance policy.
Sameh Shourbagui, technical director at Sarwa Insurance, told local press that the company is looking to offer insurance coverage against pandemics as part of its travel insurance policy.
In case of coronavirus infection, Sarwa’s travel insurance covers medical assistance up to the limit indicated in the policy the client purchased, Shourbagui said.
Extra premium is also charged for the infectious disease extension the travel insurance policy will cover, he added.
Sarwa Insurance is a subsidiary of Sarwa Capital Holding, which is a leading consumer and structured finance solutions provider in Egypt since 2001.
