Egypt’s private sector got $2.5bln in funds since start of year – minister

Egypt’s private sector received $2.5 billion in funds since the start of the year, said Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat in interview with CNBC on Monday.

Al-Mashat also added that the ministry will cooperate with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to provide fund for a number of projects.

These projects include credit lines for Egyptian banks and projects for sustainable transportation, the minister’s remarks were made during an interview with CNBC Arabia on the sidelines of the AIIB annual meetings held now in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh.
