The production volume of Noras gas field in Egypt’s Western Desert is expected to rise from 10 million to 15 million cubic feet by the end of 2016.
Chief Exploration Officer at Italy’s energy giant Eni, Luca Bertelli stated that the decline in global oil prices was not an obstacle for Eni to continue its exploration and drilling works in Egypt’s Delta and Mediterranean Sea.
He made these remarks during the 8th Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition (MOC) that took place in Alexandria, Egypt from 19-21 April.
The official added that the recently-discovered oil wells will open gates for more explorations and drillings.
Bertelli pointed out that Noras field may be a part of another natural gas wells.
MOC is a complete event for the Mediterranean oil and gas industry that brings together hundreds of companies and attendees from both the Northern and Southern shore of the Mediterranean Sea to display the latest developments, technologies and discoveries in the energy industry.
