Egypt’s non-oil exports rose by $85 million or 4 percent year-on-year (YoY) during January, according to the General Organization of Export and Import Control (GOEIC).
The North African nation’s non-oil exports amounted to $2.188 billion last month from $2.103 billion in the same month a year earlier, data showed on Monday.
Exports of food industries grew to $279 million in January from $241 million in the corresponding month in 2019, while exports of building materials increased to $494 million from $447 million in January 2019.
Meanwhile, exports of engineering products and electronics levelled up to $183 million last month, compared to $168 million, whereas exports of furnishings rose to $44 million from $42 million.
