Egypt’s non-oil exports to Greece rise 39% in first 9 months of 2017 – minister

Egypt’s non-petroleum industrial exports to Greece increased 39 percent during the first nine months of 2017, reaching €136.6 million ($158.7 million) compared to €98.3 million last year, Egyptian trade minister said Saturday.

Trade exchange between Egypt and Greece also rose 2.8 percent between January to September this year, recording €894.5 million from €869.6 million, Tarek Qabil further said during his meeting with Greek ambassador to Egypt Michael Diamessis to review boosting joint investments in both countries.

Greece’s investments in Egypt are currently worth $155 million, involving 160 projects in sectors of industry, services, construction, tourism, communications and information technology, financing, and agriculture, Qabil added.
