Egypt’s iron exports fell 34.8 % in 10 months

Egypt’s iron exports fell 34.8 percent during the first 10 months of 2019 registering $580 million compared to $890 million a year earlier, according to a report released by the Export Council for Building Materials (ECBM).

The North African country’s iron exports slumped to $53 million in October 2019 down from $77 million  during the same month in 2018.

Five countries have captured 77.1 percent of Egypt’s iron exports during the first 10 months in 2019

Saudi Arabia topped the list of importers, as the oil-rich Sheikdom’s iron imports from Egypt reached $164.9 increasing b 108.5 percent.

It was then followed Spain with exports of $ 100 million against $ 41.848 million, declining by 58 percent, while Canada came in third place with exports worth $ 38.415 million against $ 82.672 decreasing by 53.3 percent.
