Egypt’s Hogar Construction and Development is studying a number of social housing flagships in Kenya, its chairman Ahmed Hossam Awad said on Thursday.
“There are big opportunities for Egyptian companies operating in areas of construction and engineering consultancy to export their products to African markets,” Awad said.
The company has participated in The Big 5 Construct Kenya Exhibition, which took place in Nairobi city from 7th-9th November, he added.
Given Egypt’s presidency of the African Union and its efforts to boost bilateral relations with African countries, private sector firms in Egypt have become more motivated to tap Africa, Awad said.
Established in 1986, Hogar has become one of the leading companies specialised in structures, integrated construction, engineering, financial, and legal fields.
