Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is planning to inaugurate three investment zones within the third quarter of the year, chairman Mohsen Adel said on Wednesday.
The turnkey investment zones will include the implementation of fully-fledged units for businesses led by small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations, Adel further told Amwal Al Ghad.
“The three zones are set to encompass service centres for investors and workers as well as other zones for women’s entrepreneurship,” he said.
As for the first zone, it will be inaugurated in Giza governorate over 1.5 million square metres by early next month for handicraft and traditional industries, Adel added.
As for the second zone, it is to be inaugurated in Banha city of Qalyubia governorate over 46 feddans within the second half of next July for milk and food industries, Adel said.
“The third zone will be inaugurated in Mit Ghamr City on a space of 480,000 square metres at the end of next July or early August for aluminum industries,” he concluded.
