Egypt’s foreign reserves fall 4.4% in December: CBE

Egypt’s foreign currency reserves dropped 4.4 percent to $42.5 billion in December from $44.5 billion in November, an official source at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Monday.

The source added that the recent decline in the foreign currency reserves to the government’s payment of loan interest and treasury bills ‎to foreign investors.
