Egypt’s state-run Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) reported Tuesday a 33.2 percent increase from a year ago in its first-half profits to 538.5 million Egyptian pounds ($30.4 million).
Earlier, profits stood at 404.17 million pounds during the first half of 2016.
The company made first-half sales worth 3.67 billion pounds higher from 481.9 million pounds during the same period last year.
Standalone profits jumped to 753.5 million pounds, compared with 377.67 million pounds.
