Egypt’s exports of building materials increase 24 % during H1

Egypt’s exports of building materials, refractory and metallurgy industries post $ 3.025 billion during the first quarter of 2020, recording an increase of 24 percent, compared with $2.437 billion a year earlier according to Export Council for Building Materials (ECBM) Waleed Gamal El-Din.

He added during a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevine Gamea, the Egyptian building materials products will be reaching new markets including the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, the United States of America, Sudan and Spain.

He stressed the importance of the government’s support for the sector indicating that the sector’s potentials to double Egyptian exports to global markets and create more job opportunities
