Egypt’s exports of agricultural crops grow by 20% in 8 months

Egypt has seen formidable growth in the agricultural sector as it recorded a 20 percent increase in export value of agricultural crops to reach $2.673 billion during the first months of 2023, up from $2.221 billion during the same period in 2022.

According to an official data that Amwal al Ghad obtained a copy from it, the figures aligns with Egypt’s intensifying efforts to develop this vital sector in line with its Vision 2030 and sustainable development goal of enhancing food security.

It is noteworthy that Egypt has succeeded in increasing its total agricultural area to 9.7 million acres, and its total cropped area to 17.5 million acres throughout the agricultural seasons of 2022 as it plans to raise its cultivated area  to more than 15 million acres by 2030.
