El Rashidy El Asly, Egypt’s leading confectioner, is seeking to export 30 percent of its products by 2023,according to Managing Director Abdel Naby Madkour.
He further told Amwal Al Ghad during the inauguration of the first phase of its factory in 6th of October that the company is currently exporting 10 percent of its production to countries that include Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia.
He added that the company is planning to increase its exports to the African countries such as Nigeria and Ghana.
The company has inaugurated the first phase of its 200 mn Egyptian pounds factory in Sixth of October City, which will triple the company’s current production levels.
The factory was partially financed through a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and is scheduled to reach full production capacity by March 2020.
