Egypt’s dairy maker Domty first-half profits fall 32%

Egyptian dairy maker Arabian Food Industries Company ( Domty) reported on Wednesday a 32 percent year-on-year drop in profits to 66.3 million Egyptian pounds ($4 million) during the first half this year.

Profits earlier stood at 98.13 million pounds during the first half of 2018.

On the other hand, the company made first half sales worth 1.3 billion pounds, up from 1.2 billion pounds during the same half last year

During the second quarter of 2019, profits fell to 37.4 million pounds against 57.6 million pounds during the same period in 2018.
