Egypt’s Building Material Export Council sends promotional delegations to Africa

Egyptian Export Council for Building Materials is set to organise a number of promotional missions to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire to promote state’s building materials exports.

Council’s Chairman Walid Gamal Eldin stated Friday during Africa 2016 conference that the promotional missions will be sent in cooperation with other export councils and the Egyptian Commercial Service.

The chairman made these remarks during a press conference held Friday to launch Africa 2016 forum – the international business forum for Egypt, Africa and the World- that take place on 20-21 February in the Red Sea resort town of Sharm El-Sheikh.

The council is currently preparing for bilateral meetings between the first mission -that is set to include 30 firms- and the most important firms in the Kenyan market that import Egyptian building materials.

Gamal Eldin emphasised on the importance of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s initiative to organise Africa 2016 conference which is expected to be an annual event that aims at enhancing the economic cooperation between Egypt and African states in all investment and trade sectors.

On other side, Hanan Ismail -council’s executive director- said that the number of Egyptian companies participating in the promotional delegation to Lebanon has reached 40. The mission is set to start its work on  February 29 to discuss Egypt’s business in the Lebanese market.

She added that 36 Egyptian firms are set to take part in the 16th china Xiamen International Stone Fair that  will be held on 6-9 March.

Xiamen Stone Fair targets displaying new products, new technology and equipments, creating business opportunities, improving the communication of global stone industry, so as to promote for the development of the whole stone industry and increase trading volume.
