Egypt’s Downtown Delta project in Tanta, first and biggest trade and logistics zone, has attracted investment of 6 billion Egyptian pounds, according to Minister of Supply Ali Moselhi.
The project is being implemented by the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) in cooperation with Vernbro Global Investment.
Covering an area of 83 feddans, the logistics zone serves 42 million people and creates more than 50,000 direct and indirect jobs during the implementation of the project, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali El-Moselhy, said.
“Downtown Delta” is located in the middle of 10 cities in the Central Delta region and should serve about 42 million people and create more than 50,000 jobs for youth.
Minister of Supply Ali Moselhi, Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram, Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy Monday inspected work at the site of the under-construction “Downtown Delta” project.
