Egypt’s annual inflation rises 14.1% in May – CAPMAS

Egypt’s annual urban consumer price inflation rose to 14.1 percent in May from 13 percent in April, the state-owned statistics agency CAPMAS said on Monday.

Egypt is approaching the end of an IMF-backed economic reform programme that saw inflation rise to a high of 33 percent in 2017.
