Egypt’s property developer Amer Group announced on Monday it had named former transport minister Hisham Arafat as its new chairman and chief executive.
Arafat, who handed over his resignation to cabinet last February in the aftermath of the Ramsis train crash, will lead Amer Group succeeding its founder Mansour Amer stepped down.
Amer’s outgoing chairman Mansour Amer stressed the importance of having a new blood to lead the group to achieve various development strategies in sectors of real estate development as well as commercial malls, and hotels.
Amer clarified that Mansour Amer is still has a consultative role in the group, which targets launching new mega projects within the upcoming period.
The group is proud of what was achieved during the previous periods, he added.
