Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail is to inaugurate the third Annual PPP Investment Summit on October 19-20, 2015, to announce 20 projects in fields of IT, transport, industry and infrastructure.
With the recent completion of the New Suez Canal and an ambitious pipeline of nearly 20 PPP projects worth nearly $4 billion to be tendered by the end of 2016, President Abdel Fattah Sisi, the Ministry of Finance, and the MoF’s PPP Central Unit are delivering initiatives bound to bring unprecedented socioeconomic growth to Egypt.
From the $210 million Maadi Contact Centre to the historic Abu Rawash Wastewater Plant, PPP projects will be the imperative vehicle to a triumphant Egyptian economic recovery. For these PPP projects to be successful, however, each of the three pillars of PPP – government, banks, and service providers – must work in harmony to execute these ventures.
Mohab Mamesh – Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority – is to participate in the summit where he would present Exclusive update on the Suez Canal Corridor Area Project. In addition to, Minister of Finance Hany Damian is to deliver a speech during the summit tackling the political and socioeconomic changes coming to Egypt and revealing the impact of PPP projects on Egypt’s economy in order to encourage regional economic and social prosperity.
The 3rd Annual PPP Investment Summit will serve as gathering of senior government officials, influential global bankers, and the region’s most relevant service providers.
Atter Hannoura, Director PPP Central Unit, Ministry of Finance said that the most important projects to be announced during the summit is to be established in cooperation with ministry of communication and information technology, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, ministry of investment, ministry of housing and Cairo governorate in the frame work of improving general services and increasing the Egyptian economic Competitiveness.
For the first time in Egypt, two central cities for recycling, the Recyclable materials include many kinds of agriculture, petroleum and biodegradable waste will be established. In addition, five stations related to water sector and two Multi-storey car parks in Sheraton and Abbasiya will be carried out.
