Egyptian pound falling to EGP 22.35 against dollar

The Egyptian pound is falling against the U.S. dollar on Thursday to record 22.35 Egyptian pounds for sale, while 22.45 for purchase at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE).

Moreover, Egypt’s central bank said on Thursday it had hiked interest rates by 200 basis points in an exceptional meeting of its monetary policy committee (MPC).
