Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has paid a visit today to the global logistic project site for grains in Damietta which estimated at EGP15 billion accompanied by Supply, Transportation, Housing, Local Development and Investment Ministers.
Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy has presented the details of the project during the visit and the major economic, social and national revenues including supporting the national economy and providing thousands of job opportunities in addition to delivering the goods with low prices and establishing national infrastructure to comply with the global standards.
The project will be on an area of 3.350 million meters and about 500.000 meters will be inside within the limits Damietta port and the remainder in an unexploited industrial area located at north-east of Damietta port, Hanfay explained.
The project includes launching the latest silos in 3 areas to achieve increasing in the storage capacity from 2.5 million tonnes to 7.5 million tonnes as well as establishing 2 Maritime Quay to receive giant ships at length 700 meters.
Moreover, the project seeking establishing Rivers quay with length of 1200 meters and submitted technological systems to link to connect the components of marine and industrial storage and reduce the cost of transport as well as integrated electronic system for monitoring and supervising, in addition to the five industrial zones.
