The Egyptian-German Business Forum is to start Monday in Cairo, with the participation of 40 high-profile companies. The forum is organised by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The forum will be inaugurated by Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour – the outgoing Minister of Industry and Trade; Khaled Hanafy – outgoing Minister of Supply; and German ambassador to Egypt Hansjörg Haber.
This forum will take place in the presence of Ahmed Elsewedy – Head of Federation of Egyptian Industries; Nader Riad – Head of the Egyptian side of the Egyptian-German Business Council; and Peter Ramsauer former German Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Development and the head of the German side of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
From his part, Ahmed El Wakil – Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce – said the event aims to explore the results of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s recent visit to Germany, notably in terms of alluring investments and boosting bilateral trade.
In addition, El Wakil said the Federation seeks to make the proposed projects announced during March economic summit in Sharm El-Sheikh a reality, through a participation of the private sector entities worldwide.
