Egyptian agricultural exports to Kuwait would double during the coming period after the later has loosened the import procedures on the Egyptian products, Egyptian Commercial Service Office (ECS) in Kuwait.
Kuwait began to toughen import procedures on the Egyptian exports of agricultural products since November 2017, which led to a decrease in the value of Egyptian agriculture exports by 50 percent to record $56 million in 2018 compared to $98 million in 2017.
Kuwait has facilitated procedures of the entry of the Egyptian agricultural exports to its markets, according to Head of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine Ahmed el Attar said
The Plant Quarantine authorities engaged in long negotiations with the Kuwaiti side, which resulted in canceling a previous decision tightening control over the Egyptian agricultural exports, Attar noted.
