EgyptAir has signed deals worth $6 billion to purchase 45 new airplanes from a number of international aircraft manufacturers within the coming two years, according to a statement issued by the company on Wednesday.
The deals were signed at the Dubai Air Show, which runs until Thursday.
The deals include an agreement with Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier to sell EgyptAir up to 24 CSeries aircraft for $2.2 billion, Bombardier said on Tuesday.
Last year, EgyptAir signed a deal with Boeing to purchase nine B737-800 NG aircraft. The ninth Boeing aircraft is scheduled for delivery next month.
This brings the total number of new aircraft bought by EgyptAir to 54 over the past two years, according to the statement.
