EgyptAir has cancelled flights between Cairo-Frankfurt and Munich on Sunday and Monday, as strikes at both airports are on the rise with overall strikes in the transport sector in Germany.
Two Cairo-Munich flights were cancelled; flight MS787 from Cairo to Munich on Sunday and flight MS788 from Munich to Cairo on Monday, in addition to flight MS786 from Frankfurt to Cairo on Monday.
Passengers of these flights will be moved to the earliest flights possible, said EgyptAir.
EgyptAir also added that the cancelled flight MS785 from Cairo to Frankfurt on Monday, its passengers on can travel on flight MS785 on Tuesday.
Frankfurt airport, Germany’s busiest airports, as well as Munich airport, have announced their cancellation of all regular flights on Sunday and Monday.
German unions called a one-day strike on Monday in the transport sector like airports and railways to demand salary increases amidst the country’s inflation hike.
