Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry hailed the development of relations between Egypt and Germany over the past years in several fields.
Shoukry was speaking on Monday during a meeting with the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag Norbert Röttgen, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
Egypt welcomed German companies seeking to pump investments in the country, the top diplomat noted.
The minister stressed the importance of encouraging more companies to do business in Egypt to benefit from the promising investment opportunities in the country.
Röttgen called for expanding cooperation horizons and lauded Egypt’s role in maintaining security and stability in the Middle East.
During the meeting with Röttgen, Shoukry spoke about Egypt’s vision on regional files, including the challenges in Syria, Libya, Yemen, and the Gulf.
