Egypt unveiled two satellite projects in China worth $92 million as part of Egyptian-Chinese cooperation on Sunday.
Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation, Rania El-Mashat participated in the completion ceremony of the assembly and the testing of the satellite.
El-Mashat said that the satellite assembly, integration, and test center (AITC) and the EgyptSat 2 satellite for remote sensing applications are among key projects currently implemented with two grants worth $92 million.
The Chinese Ambassador to Cairo, Liqiang Liu and Sherif Sedky, CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, along with a group of representatives of China and Egypt also attended the ceremony.
Egypt’s total portfolio of cooperation with China accounts to around $1.70 billion in different sectors, such as health, education, electricity, vocational training, and more.
