Egypt will have a big role in integrating water and climate issues globally, said Mari Pangestu, managing director of development policy and partnerships at World Bank, on Saturday.
During her meeting with Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel-Aty to boost bilateral cooperation, Pangestu has hailed Egypt’s policies on adopting modern irrigation systems.
Both sides coordinated the overlapping relation between water and climate on the sidelines of the fifth edition of Cairo Water Week, and the Water Pavilion that will be setup within the UN Conference of Parties on Climate Change (COP27), which will be hosted by the Egyptian Red Resort of Sharm El-Sheikh this November.
