Egypt’s ministry of industry and trade seeks to launch 5 million meter square of land plots for industrial development companies during 2018, Tarek Qabil said Saturday.
The minister has made these remarks during his visit to Polaris Al Zamil Industrial Park in 6th of October City which is considered to be one of the most successful models of industrial development projects in Egypt contributed with attracting direct foreign investments during the last period.
Qabil added that launching lands as part of the industrial developer system has contributed with providing fully utilised industrial lands through successful partnership with the private sector.
Industrial Development Authority has lately allocated 8 million meter square for industrial development in the 10th of Ramadan City and Sadat City.
The minister further state that the industrial development companies have rehabilitated and equipped 12 industrial and service zones over an area of 15 million meter square with total number of 983 factories and 168 with total investments of 25 billion Egyptian pounds creating 132,000 jobs.
