Egypt will issue new treasury bills (T-bills) worth 2.750 billion Egyptian pounds on Tuesday with two maturities between January 2027 and January 2029, according to central bank data.
The first issue amounts to about two billion Egyptian pounds for a period of three years with a biannual yield, while the second issue totals 750 million for a period of five years with a quarterly return, the bank said.
It is noteworthy that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decided, in its last meeting, to keep deposit rates at 19.25 per cent and lending rates at 20.25 per cent.
