Egypt is set to import a rare cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Bloomberg reported on Friday.
The announcement comes in light of the tightening market for fuel due to the Israel-Hamas war in the region.
The tanker Maran Gas Kalymnos is expected to arrive at the Red Sea port of Ain Sokhna on Friday, November 10th, in Egypt’s first super-chilled fuel import since July.
According to Reuters, after being disrupted over the weekend, Israeli natural gas exports to Egypt have resumed, but in small amounts.
Last week, the Egyptian government announced that Israeli gas exports to Egypt dropped to zero from 800 million cubic feet per day due to the ongoing war.
