Egypt seeks to complete 7,000km-road projects within 30 June 2018, at total costs exceeding 85 billion Egyptian pounds ($4.8 billion), said President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Wednesday.
Sisi further made his remarks at Story of a Nation event that 11,000 national projects have been implemented in Egypt over the past four years, with an average of three projects a day worth 2 trillion pounds.
The conference, which started Wednesday evening and continued for three days, was held at the military-owned Al Masah Hotel in the county’s new administrative capital city.
“It is planned to execute 200 bridges, at costs approaching 25 billion pounds,” the Egyptian president added.
