Egypt is set to boost its economic relations with Hong Kong, said Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait on Monday.
The minister’s statement was made during the a session the minister held to discuss economic updates with the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong Christopher Hui.
The session was held on the sidelines of the eighth annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) held in Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday and Tuesday.
Maait also welcomed Chinese investments in a number of Egyptian sectors. Egypt is now ready to benefit from Hong Kong’s experience in attracting foreign investments, the minister added.
