In an attempt to grapple with growing energy shortage, Egypt’s current interim government is studying a project to establish a 1700-megwatt power plant in the Red Sea coast area.
During a ministerial meeting on Saturday, Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb called on reviewing the details of the projects. Mehleb said he welcomes all the projects that aim to reach effective and quick solutions for the country’s energy crisis nightmare.
The meeting was in the presence of Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker and the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC)’s chairman Gaber Desouki.
