Egypt’s stock exchange will introduce a new system to curb risks related to equity market before the end of this year, its chief Mohamed Farid said on Tuesday.
“The new risk management system will be activated to all brokerage firms before the end of this year,” Farid said.
The Egyptian bourse launched earlier this month in cooperation with the Investor Protection Fund a risk management training programme for 70 brokerage firms. The training aimed at providing trainees with the knowledge and necessary skills to detect and manage possible risks with relevance to the capital market through a comprehensive and interactive explanation of the risk management concepts.
