Egypt reports record daily rise in new coronavirus deaths of 47, new cases continue to fall

Egypt registered 47 new deaths due to the novel coronavirus on Tuesday, marking another record of daily increase, while the number of new cases rose by 1,152, its second decline for a week.

That brought the total number of fatalities to 1,052 and confirmed cases to 27,536, according to a health ministry statement. However, the total number of recoveries continued to increase to 6,827 on Tuesday, 6,297 on Monday, the statement said.
