Egypt records another highest single-day jump in coronavirus deaths of 97 on Monday

Egypt registered on Monday again its biggest daily jump in coronavirus deaths with 97 new fatalities, taking the total to 1,672, according to a health ministry statement.

The ministry also confirmed 1,691 new coronavirus infections, taking the total in Egypt to 46,289. However, the total number of recoveries has risen to 12,329 on Monday from 11,931 on Sunday, the statement added.
