Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met various officials on Tuesday to discuss the offer proposed by a foreign firm to establish a mega green hydrogen plant in Egypt.
The project will be established via Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), according to the Prime Minister.
The plant is set to have an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, fully dependent on solar energy with a capacity of 15 gigawatts (GW).
Its entire production is to be exported to Europe, to be worth $1 billion a year. The projects will also create a number of job opportunities.
The feasibility study for the project will be conducted in the upcoming period, according to an official statement.
