Egypt, Nigeria central banks sign fintech cooperation pact

The central banks of Egypt and Nigeria have signed on Monday an agreement to boost cooperation in multiple areas.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) intend to collaborate on areas of fintech and promoting financial inclusion.

CBE deputy governor Rami Aboulnaga has signed the deal with Aishah Ahmad, CBN deputy governor for Financial System Stability Directorate, on the sidelines of Seamless North Africa 2023 that is taking place Cairo under the rubric “The Gateway to Fintech in the Middle East and Africa.”
