Egypt will launch an online platform for selling Egyptian products in Africa, offering Egyptian products in an electronic catalogue, according to Minister of the Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik.

Tawfik’s statements came during a meeting held on Tuesday with Minister of Trade and Industry Niven Gamei to discuss cooperation between the two ministries on increasing Egyptian exports to African markets as part of the Gossor Initiative, which aims to boost Egypt’s external trade.

Tawfik said that the Gossor Initiative provides an integrated chain of transport and logistics services introduced by Gossor subsidiaries.

Gamei said that the trade ministry coordinates with all concerned ministries to increase productivity, boost Egyptian exports to global markets, and provide job opportunities for young people.

“The trade ministry is eager to make use of the Gossor Initiative to increase Egyptian exports to the African market, especially from the SME sector,” Gamei said.
