Egypt, Italy probe further cooperation in healthcare sector

Egypt and Italy are mulling further bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector, said Ministry of Health in a statement on Sunday.

The statement was made after a meeting between Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdelghaffar and the Italian Ambassador to Cairo Michele Quaroni.

The officials discussed ways to boost cooperation in medical staff training, healthcare investment, as well as exchange of expertise in the area of medical technology.

The meeting also touched on potential cooperation between both nations in the production of pharmaceuticals and increasing Italian investments in the sector.
